Family Birthday Celebration

Yesterday, Mac turned 3 years old! I can't believe my baby girl is already three! We celebrated with extended family over the weekend and had our family celebration yesterday.

Since she had her birthday cake over the weekend and we're trying to eat healthier, we opted not to make another cake. Instead, we gave her a Reese Cup, which she really enjoyed!

She was thrilled with the Leap Frog picnic basket...she loves to have picnics and enjoys hoarding things in baskets...a perfect combination!

Looking adorable in her new batman pajamas!

Happy Birthday Mac! We love you!

Tot School: Snowmen!

We're still patiently waiting for the arrival of SNOW! In the mean time, here's what was on the Tot Shelf this week...

1. Snowflake pan with "snowballs"

Mac really enjoyed scooping out the snowballs and placing in the snowflake pan!

2. Winter Sensory Bin

3. Open Art: Paper, stickers, stamps, and crayons.

Izzie joined in on the art fun!

4. Letter "S" sorting

5. Snowflake Matching

6. Size Sequencing

7. Numerical Order

This was Mac's least favorite activity on the shelf. However, we tweaked it for Izzie!

I printed off another set of the snowflakes from above, just in black and white, then wrote the number words 1-10 for Izzie to match up the word to the correct number.

**All above printables are from Confessions of a Homeschooler.**

Favorite activity of the week: Crayola Window Crayons!!

Be sure to check out of the Tot School weeks over at 1+1+1=1.

Music To My Ears

Izzie has been participating in AWANA this year and is loving it! Each week, she is so committed to learning her new verse. Last week, she learned the 27 books of the New Testament.

Pasta Snowflake Craft

Mac created this creative snowflake at our local Coop. I'm not sure exactly how she made it, as I was not in the room. But, it looks as though she painted the wheel-shaped pasta, the teacher traced the shape of a snowflake with glue on the construction paper, then Mac placed her pasta on the glue...way too adorable!

Snowy Winter Day

Somewhere...just not here! Yes, I'm still complaining about the weather! I would love to snuggle up on the couch with a big fuzzy blanket, while reading a good book, and sipping on a warm cup of hot cocoa with tiny marshmallows, as I watched the snow (come down thick and heavy) from the window.

Thankfully, I have two little girls who love to snuggle and read good books with me, regardless of the weather!

Izzie created my ideal blizzard!

We snuggled up and read a ton of winter books, though, Izzie liked this one the best...she loves being able to read most of the words!
